Firestad™ is a new and innovative fire protection system designed to help protect homes from fire radiation and ember attacks during wildfires, ensuring your home is safe. Firestad’s “LFSPS” is an external water dispersion system (fire protection equipment) with specially designed water spigots that integrates an innovative approach to fight wildfires for property owners to protect their real estate from catching fire and keeping their home safe. Components are all super high quality, along with powder coated Stainless Steel piping and brass fittings, and is aesthetically pleasing.
Firestad is well hidden for retrofits, out of street level views, and difficult to see unless you're actually looking for it. It is color matched with its ultra-high-quality powder-coated stainless steel pipes and high-end brass nozzles (patents pending) that were designed specifically to handle high winds without losing their efficacy. It is operable manually or can be set up automatically through a smart water control system. Alexa and Apple home-kit are compatible with hyper-local weather intelligence plus rain, freeze, and wind-skip features. Works with Google assistant, Nest, IFTTT, Wink, Control4, Nexia, and others.
A home wildfire protection system can be the best defense.
An external Wildfire Protection System is the most obvious firefighting method out there today, continually proving to be efficient in saturating embers before they grow into devastating flames. An extensive study by the Firewise Program in Minnesota’s Department of Natural Resources cited the effectiveness of the water dispersion systems at protecting not only homes but surrounding combustible landscapes as well.
“The effectiveness of exterior fire sprinklers were proven during the 2007 wind-driven Ham Lake Fire in Cook County, Minnesota. In 2001, exterior sprinklers were installed on 188 properties, including homes and several resorts. All 188 properties survived. More than 100 neighboring properties were destroyed. The sprinklers were so successful that a $3 million FEMA pre-disaster mitigation grant was awarded in 2008 to install additional wildfire sprinkler systems throughout Cook County. In 2013, another grant was awarded to install the systems in two additional counties, including properties with low-water resources.
A FEMA hazard mitigation grant covered the cost of the Cook County program. The program was finished on time and budget, costing $764,255. A Minnesota Senator credited the program with saving over $42 million in property damage(s). The grant paid 75% of the cost of the sprinklers. Individual property owners covered the balance.”
Landscapes and homes that are soaked release moisture into the air, lowering ambient temperatures while increasing humidity. All of which significantly decreases the chance of ignition.
